Brandi and Cole

Here are Brandi and Cole’s engagement portraits! It was so beautiful this day and these two looked great! Add the entertainment of their puppy they had with them which was a huge bundle of energy but so cute, and it was a fun shoot. She was a handful for Brandi’s mom, sister, and Cole’s parents. I did get one shot of her the brief moment she actually held still after getting loose. These two will be getting married in July, and we’ll be doing Brandi’s bridals in early May. Too bad I won’t be posting those until after their wedding!
Cameo and the Gymnasium!
Heidi, the oldest daughter of my friend Jean from Cameo Special Events, was married last week and I was able to photograph part of her reception. WOW! Jean designed the layout which totally tranformed this church gym into an absolutely beautiful reception center! The entry was gorgeous with a waterfountain in a gazebo, then you enter into the reception area which had 6 tents around the perimeter. The first tent was where the receiving line was and behind them stood the fountain that sounded like rain. To the right were two tents with a theater and several rows of seats with a movie of the couple projected onto the wall. Dining tables were behind. The opposite side, also under two tents, had tables of food, chocolate fountains, drink fountains, ice sculptures with chilled food on them, and more dining tables. The tent at the back of the gym was where the dance floor and DJ were. The lighting was all provided by the Cameo, and with the gymnasium lighting turned off, standing in the center court was like standing under an open night sky. Oh, and the ice sculptures were amazing! There were sculptures with flowers inside on each table, and some big ones on the food tables. The center court had a sculpture of the Salt Lake LDS Temple that was enormous! Totally amazing. You can see these again and more on the gallery page I put up at DaydreamsArt.com/cameo.
This is the entrance. The shiny metal under the gazebo is a fountain.
Isn’t that chandelier beatiful with the draped material for the ceiling? Behind the line is the fountain that sounded like rain falling.
The Center Court…

Here’s a close up of one of the sculptures with flowers inside…
The dance floor before the dancing…
This is from the back of the dance area looking back towards the center court.

I’ll post some more from Heidi and Nate’s reception soon, but what Jean did with this gym was such a hit, she has clients anxious to see pictures, so here they are!
Newlyweds!
Here are the newlyweds Kourtney and Deven! It was so cold this day, and it even snowed while we were shooting. The light was wonderful even if the weather was not. These two were so relaxed in front of the camera and were up for anything, which made for a real fun shoot. Here’s some pics from the day!

Kourtney and Deven
I met Kourtney a few years ago when I did her Senior Portraits, and I was so excited when she contacted me and asked me to be her wedding photographer! Deven is a super neat guy and they are such a cute couple. They were married at the Marsh Creek Event Center in Albion. We never got a chance to get together for a shoot before the wedding, but we did a couple days later for a romantic portrait shoot. I’ll be posting those tomorrow, so check back! Here are some highlights from their wedding day…
