GenerateX is LIVE!

Collection - News • Written by Cindy - March 26, 2008

YES! GenerateX is now online! It’s for photographers who use Adobe® Photoshop® CS3 or CS2, need the ability to host their own galleries for their clients, and offer a way for clients to order/pay for prints online. I know what a digital photography business is like and how busy you are, and you probably don’t want to deal with a potential hassle. So the hassle part is done for you! These templates are customized for you and work with the Web Photo Gallery generator which is part of Photoshop and Bridge.

Now some of you are wondering where this is coming from since most know me as a photographer, not a web designer. Few know I’ve actually been doing web design for myself and friends for as long as I’ve been doing photography. I’ve just been more of a closet computer geek. I’ve been doing these templates for my own client galleries for several years, and now I’m sharing them. So – if you’re a photographer and wish you had your own custom template, come on over to GenerateX.com and take a closer look. We’d love to make you one!

Jake and Chelsey

Collection - Engagements • Written by Cindy - March 10, 2008

Jake and Chelsey met on a blind date set up by their family members who thought these two belonged together, and they were right! They are so cute together and I enjoyed this session with them. We went out to Lake Walcott and it was nice to find a lot of the snow melted. The light was amazing and they were both great sports. Chelsey walked through sand, mud, and over boulders in high heels! Here are some of my favorites:

Becky and Casey

Collection - Engagements • Written by Cindy - March 4, 2008

And here is my first couple of the year! Becky and Casey will be getting married in April up in Eagle which is near Boise, Idaho. Becky works with special needs children and Casey is studying to be a Physicist. I had to use spell check to even spell that right! We did their engagement portraits out at Lake Walcott and it was cold and wet, but the light was wonderful. Neither one of them complained in spite of snow in shoes and the wintery breeze. Here are some of my favorites from their session. I’m so looking forward to shooting their wedding next month!

Goings On

Collection - News • Written by Cindy -

Even though I haven’t posted for awhile, things have been busy! With yearbook deadlines quickly approaching and the weather pretty awful, my studio gear got quite the workout with local dance, cheer, flag and drill teams wanting something a little special for their portraits. The Junior Miss pageant is also preparing for their big night which is coming up on April 17th and I do all the girls’ portraits for the pageant’s publicity every year. After one of my team shoots, I headed to my church where our youth group had a Valentine’s Day dinner as a fund raising event which I volunteered to help them with. I took portraits of couples and some families after they finished a wonderful dinner. I have to admit that even though I’m a natural light fanatic and love shooting outdoors, I had a lot of fun with my studio lights this winter.

Another thing going on is that we’re gearing up for the Idaho International Dance and Music Festival which will take place in Burley and Rupert July 22-26. Possible teams as of now include Belgium, China, France, Greece, Japan, Macedonia, Mexico, Sri Lanka, India, Dominican Republic, Israel, Russia: Cossack and Siberian, USA. I LOVE festival time and making new friends from all corners of this planet. For some visitors, this will be their first time in America and this community goes the extra mile to make them feel welcome. They stay in our homes while they are here which really gives our guests and their hosts a chance to learn about each other. If you’d like to see some of the highlights from last year’s festival, here’s the link to a slideshow I put together of some of my favorite shots – FESTIVAL SHOW. The teams were from Croatia, Czech Republic, Poland, Peru, Philippines, and Japan.

If you live in in the Mini-Cassia area and would like to be a host family, e-mail me your contact information and someone from the housing committee will contact you. This will be our 5th year and it gets bigger every year! As people come and experience it and feel the energy and excitement in the air, they tell others about it and come back.
