Heidi and Coulson

May 9th, 2010 by Cindy
Category - Portraits

Heidi and Coulson were in town for a visit and we were able to get together for a brief photo shoot before they left. Coulson was so much fun to photograph with his cute expressions and attitude :) He kept us all running! And check out the basketball pics. He’s only one year old and he knows what the game is about! Too cute! This was a lifestyle commercial session, so keep an eye open for these pics in use somewhere – magazines, advertising, etc.

5 Great Men = 28 Years of Leadership

April 30th, 2010 by Cindy
Category - Portraits

I had the privilege recently to take a portrait of 5 consecutive presidents that have served in the Rupert Idaho Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints. To get a group like this together for a portrait is pretty amazing and totally cool :)

Baby Kalan

April 20th, 2010 by Cindy
Category - Portraits

I’m kinda late uploading these. I’ve been such a bad blogger the last few months. This little guy is smiling and laughing now! Kalan was just a couple of weeks old when we did these portraits. He’s the sweet baby of Tobin and Trista. You might remember them from last year when I did their engagement and wedding portraits. What a sweet baby they have :) Several of these portraits are available on iStockphoto, so keep a lookout for them in use!

Golden Retriever Puppies

April 17th, 2010 by Cindy
Category - Pets

These puppies are registered Golden Retrievers and are now 5 weeks old. Aren’t they the cutest things!?!?!?!?! I just love puppies, and if I was looking for a great family pet, I would definitely get one of these! I met the parents and was impressed with how nice and well mannered they were, as was their 8 months old puppy they kept from a previous litter. Wrangling 8 puppies that wanted only to snuggle and play (and untie my shoes) wore all three of us out, but then all 8 of them passed out :) It was hilarious :))) Talk about a fun photo shoot, this was it! If you’re looking for a good family pet, email me and I’ll put you in contact with the owners.

Here’s one of my photos being used on one of those domain parking pages you get when you type the wrong address in. This is my daughter Lindsey playing photographer model for me. It’s a popular one :) Picture 10

And this is the original which links to its page on iStock.

Hadley’s Baby Portraits

January 8th, 2010 by Cindy
Category - Portraits

Hadley is such a little doll! Her whole face lights up when she smiles, and she has so many cute expressions :) Warmed my heart! She was a great little model and very cooperative, but when she was done, that was it! I’m looking forward to our next session together :) Click on thumbnails to see the whole picture.

Studio Session with Taylor

December 18th, 2009 by Cindy
Category - Portraits

Taylor was great to work with and was so comfortable in front of the camera. The ones with the lace, don’t you think she totally looks like Bella from Twilight? I kept thinking, Oh my gosh, she could be a movie star! But she’s doing something much more noble. She’s studying to be a nurse and will be joining the National Guard this coming year. I’m looking forward to another session with Taylor when she returns from training and we’ll do some with her in uniform. Can you imagine how beautiful those shots will be? And, here’s my latest way for displaying images on my blog. Just click on the thumbnails and the full version will open up. Cool!

My Daughter’s Maternity Portraits

December 2nd, 2009 by Cindy
Category - Portraits

maternity-portrait

This is my daughter, Ariel, and she is pregnant with my first grandchild. She and her husband Mike were visiting from San Fransisco during the week of Thanksgiving and we made time for a maternity shoot. She’s 7 months along now, and is having a boy!

How amazing life is – to watch my child grow up, fall in love and marry, experience the miracle of creating a new life, and become a parent herself. Yes, I’m a bit emotional ;) .

I hope you enjoy the slideshow and portraits as much as I enjoyed creating them. The song is called “Daughters” and certainly goes with this session beautifully.

My nephew Hayden is getting quite famous! This is the second time a photo of him has been found in use. This time was by a friend of his that was traveling and happened to see this ad in a Sky Mall magazine. Here is the same ad online:

Here’s the original (before they flipped and cropped it):

BHS Teen Read Week Winner!

November 4th, 2009 by Cindy
Category - Portraits

read09
BHS recently had a contest for Teen Read Week, and the prize was a celebrity portrait shoot and custom READ poster to be hung on the media center wall with the other Celebrity READ posters. I was asked if I’d do the poster for them, and I was happy to say yes! I love this kind of work. The contest involved the student body writing a short report on their favorite book. The media center staff chose 10 from each of the 4 grades, and hung the reports on the wall for the student body to vote for their favorite. Eckho won with her report of the story The Million Dollar Bear, a story her mother read to her when she was small. It’s about a teddy bear worth a million dollars that was kept in a vault, but the bear longed to be loved for who he was. With such a cute girl and story to work with, we thought it would be fun to work with the theme of the book.

The poster is 2 feet wide by 3 feet tall, framed, and is currently on display in the BHS Media Center, so if you’re in the area, stop by and check it out :)
Congratulations Eckho!!!
