Megan and Dana

I remember Megan from when I shot her friend Mandy’s wedding a couple of years ago, and I was so happy when she asked me to be her wedding photographer too! She and Dana were so easy to get along with, and Megan never complained, even when the mosquitoes got bad. I totally enjoyed getting to know these two! I’m shooting Megan’s bridals next week! That’ll be fun;) I’ll post them after their wedding which is late August. Here’s a few from their engagement session:
Mark and Amy

I was so happy when Amy asked me if I’d be their wedding photographer. I’ve known Amy and her family for years, but don’t see them much since they moved. All the locals will recognize Mark. He manages one of THE nicest supermarkets in the whole Mini-Cassia area. We kept waiting for the weather to break so we could do their engagement pics, then finally thought we were safe scheduling a date. Funny how that day ended up on my list of the most challenging weather conditions to shoot in! It was looking pretty bad, but we’re running out of time for their engagement shoot, so we went for it. It was actually pretty nice (great light;) and kind of windy for most of their session, then a dust storm hit like a brick wall! We were pretty much sandblasted on our walks back to our cars. I’m sure glad we went for it though. Extreme conditions often result in my favorite pics! However we’re crossing our fingers for better weather soon so we can do Amy’s bridals. No, you don’t get to see them until after their wedding which is mid-July. Here’s a handful of my favorites:
Ted and Jenny

These two will be getting married in June at the Blue Lakes Country Club, which is also where we did their engagement session. I love that place! The road down there freaks me out, but it’s so pretty it’s worth the danger. Ted and Jenny are both engineers and they work for competing firms. Sounds like a romantic movie to me! Check out the herd of deer. They were almost dog tame, and if I hadn’t been armed with an ominous looking camera, we might have got even closer! Here’s some from their shoot…
Jake and Chelsey

Jake and Chelsey met on a blind date set up by their family members who thought these two belonged together, and they were right! They are so cute together and I enjoyed this session with them. We went out to Lake Walcott and it was nice to find a lot of the snow melted. The light was amazing and they were both great sports. Chelsey walked through sand, mud, and over boulders in high heels! Here are some of my favorites:
Becky and Casey

And here is my first couple of the year! Becky and Casey will be getting married in April up in Eagle which is near Boise, Idaho. Becky works with special needs children and Casey is studying to be a Physicist. I had to use spell check to even spell that right! We did their engagement portraits out at Lake Walcott and it was cold and wet, but the light was wonderful. Neither one of them complained in spite of snow in shoes and the wintery breeze. Here are some of my favorites from their session. I’m so looking forward to shooting their wedding next month!
Kacee and Dallas

It was so nice to finally meet Kacee and Dallas! Kacee heard of me through one of my previous brides and then booked me for her wedding in Montana next year. It was a cold windy and wet day when we did their engagement session, but it still was beautiful and fun. I’m looking forward to their wedding!
Jamie and Riley
Vanessa & John

This is Vanessa and John. They are getting married this next weekend! I’m so looking forward to it. I really enjoyed getting to know them at their engagement shoot. These two fell in love with each other while serving in the military in Iraq which I thought was interesting. And, they are both into body building. In fact Vanessa just won a big competition in the figure category. Being around them made me want to exercise a whole lot more than I do:)
My daughter and future son!

This is a shoot I’ve been nervous about for many years now. This is my youngest daughter and she’ll be married to this awesome guy in less than a month. Mike and Ariel are the best of friends and to see my little girl so happy and in love helps me remember that this is what I’ve always wanted for her. To find someone who will love her and treat her like the treasure she is. Mike has been calling me Mom since their engagement. I’m not sure he realizes it, but that has helped me remember that I’m really not losing a daughter, but gaining a son. Something I’ve never had before! For their shoot, we drove down to the big city of Salt Lake and went to Liberty Park, Gateway Plaza, and the streets of downtown after dark. There are some others from a dance the next night, and from Antelope Island another day. Yeah, their engagement shoot was quite the trip and a lot of fun.
