Trista and Tobin’s Pre-Wedding Session

Collection - Newlywed • Written by Cindy - March 8, 2009

Beautiful pictures capturing the love these two share as they are about to be married was important to them. Since capturing those kinds of pictures on their wedding day was not going to be possible, we did them on a day when we could choose the time and have a relaxing session. It was so much fun! Even Tobin seemed to enjoy it ;) The weather was unseasonably nice, the light was great, we didn’t get kicked off the upper deck of the Conference Center – a rare experience for me! Then in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, a tour guide actually asked Tobin to play the piano when he found out he was a concert level pianist. And wow, it was amazing to hear him play :) Congratulations and have a wonderful wedding week you two! You’re beautiful together!

Kelsey & Josh Pre-Wedding Shoot

Collection - Newlywed • Written by Cindy - September 29, 2008

Since Kelsey and Josh wanted some great couple pictures and time would be limited on their wedding day, they decided to do a pre-wedding shoot so we could take our time AND take advantage of that beautiful late afternoon light. It was so worth it! We had lots of fun and there are SO many great places to shoot there on and around Temple Square. In case you’re wondering about the scenes where Josh is lifting Kelsey in the air, these two are dancers on the BYU-I dance team and they are amazing! If you’ve ever seen them perform, you know what I’m talking about. They also wanted some video and hired Denver Riddle from HD Wedding Events and it was so fun working alongside him. I’ve posted a few of my favorite shots from this session and at the end is the video that Denver shot from this day that was shown at their reception the following evening. Be sure to watch it because it is totally awesome! And I’ll be posting their wedding day pics soon:)

Here’s Denver getting his shot in, and below is the video…

Jamie & Riley

Collection - Newlywed • Written by Cindy - December 5, 2007

These pics are from Jamie and Riley’s pre-wedding shoot at Salt Lake’s Temple Square. There are so many beautiful places to shoot there and the autumn colors were just vibrant! We had too much fun. Is that possible? These two are so cute together that a tourist asked if he could take their picture. I of course grabbed the shot of the photographer taking the shot and it’s posted below. Loved his T-shirt;)

Mike and Ariel

Collection - Newlywed, News • Written by Cindy - August 6, 2007

Well, it’s been crazy being a busy wedding photographer AND a first time mother-of-the-bride, but Mike and Ariel are now married! I so appreciate the patience my wonderful clients have had with me, and I promise I’ll be getting caught up ASAP.

Mike and Ariel were married in the beautiful Salt Lake LDS Temple. It was an amazing and emotional day! We went down the week before and took these pictures since taking them on their wedding day would be impossible because of time constraints. We were also able to choose the best lighting without worrying about the hectic schedule of a wedding day. We were all able to relax and just have fun. And we had a blast! All these pictures and many more were in the slide show playing at their reception, and many were also printed and displayed as well.

Oh, I have a new product! Mike and Ariel wanted to do something other than a signature mat, but something nicer than a normal guest book. The lab I work with just started making these library bound, leather covered books and I gave it a try. It turned out beautiful! I went with the yearbook/graffiti wall look and this is how it looks… I’ll be adding it to my product list soon!

This one was a 20″x30″ matted and framed print near the guest book…

Newlyweds!

Collection - Newlywed • Written by Cindy - March 10, 2007

Here are the newlyweds Kourtney and Deven! It was so cold this day, and it even snowed while we were shooting. The light was wonderful even if the weather was not. These two were so relaxed in front of the camera and were up for anything, which made for a real fun shoot. Here’s some pics from the day!

Jason and Lorisa’s Pre-Wedding Shoot

Collection - Newlywed • Written by Cindy - February 25, 2007

This shoot almost didn’t happen since these two were SO sick just the day before! They fortunately felt a lot better the next day and we went through with their shoot. We lucked out with some pretty nice weather and had a great session. We met at Temple Square in SLC, which is where these two are getting married next month. These pre-wedding shoots seem to be getting more popular, as couples realize that it might be the best opportunity to get some romantic portraits without the worry of time constraints and activities inherent with most weddings. Here are some of my faves!

Brian and Niki’s Pre-Wedding Pics!

Collection - Newlywed • Written by Cindy - December 20, 2006

Here they are! This will be my last post for the year. My next one will be after these two are married early in January, so I’m ending the year with a bang by posting a LOT this time! Since the weather is iffy at best in January, I suggested Brian be there when we did Niki’s bridals so we would have a better chance of getting some outdoor shots of them together on the temple grounds. I was so excited when they agreed! We totally lucked out with perfect weather with temps in the 50’s! We started the shoot with just Niki, then we met Brian later. I had so much fun in the city with these two and Temple Square in Salt Lake City with all the Christmas lights is just stunning right now. I kind of got carried away.

And then Brian sees his bride in her beautiful gown…

Have a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year!
